Battery wont charge

Battery wont charge

Hi everyone. I’m new here, just received my brand new spark fly more combo, and one of the battery’s won’t charge at all, is there any way of waking it up, the one that came on the spark woke up fine. I have been using the battery hub that comes with the fly more combo, it charges one but not the other, also wouldn’t charge whilst in the spark itself.

I had trouble with one of mine.just kept trying different chargers and cables and then it started to might be because it’s low in volts so won’t charge as a safety thing.thats why warming up might help.but I might just be a duff battery.

Don’t bother trying to recover the battery if it suspected low voltage. The damage has already been done. These lipos like to lose capacity (or worse) if not maintained within the specification. Likely it’s below it’s cut off voltage and the BMS is refusing to allow it to charge. Warranty it. 🙂

If they send you a new one and let you keep the old one I would be happy to take it apart and figure out what happened? I’m after a dead spark battery for tinkering with. Hope you get it sorted Jamie.

If you decide to continue working with the battery you have, there are a few things you can do. Try charging it on the spark as well as each slot of the charger. If that doesn’t work, change the temperature of the battery, lower or higher to see if that gives effect. Just dont freeze the battery. Freezing works for hard drives, but batteries cant take it.
